The name of the road built in the name of Kargil martyr was changed by the local MLA, the military o

Heroic sacrificer Lance Naik Bachchan Singh had sacrificed his life for the defense of the country in the Kargil war on the Tololing squares. After that on February 28, 2000, with the permission of the government, the Pachenda Marg via Gandhi Colony in Muzaffarnagar was named after the brave sacrificer Bachchan.

Now the local MLA Shri Kapil Dev Agrawal on 12th April 2022 renamed this road after someone else and got the inaugural stone installed.

The National Military Association opposed it. Picked up, held demonstrations, took out rallies and held press conferences.

Padyatra announced on 13th June. The District Magistrate appealed that the padyatra should be postponed, we will talk to both the sides. The talks took place During this, a letter was written to the Chief of the Indian Army, General Manoj Pandey, to uphold the dignity of the martyr and the Governor of Uttarakhand, Hon'ble Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh was met. The MLA was told that if you had lost the election, you could have fought again, but a heroic sacrificer can sacrifice his life only once, that is why it is called the supreme sacrifice. The highest sacrifice should be respected only, but MLA Kapil Dev Agarwal ji has insulted the martyr very badly. Therefore, action will be written against him to the Chief Minister.

On June 13, after listening to both the sides, the District Magistrate of Muzaffarnagar has passed orders that the stone installed in the name of any other person will be removed on the road built in the name of the martyr.

This is a special availability of the Muzaffarnagar unit of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha.
