26 July 2025, Mahamaya Stadium, GT Road, Ghaziabad - Today, the Sports Wing of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha organized a football competition for the government schools of Ghaziabad. National Convener of Sports Wing, Shri Ishan Tyagi had earlier formed a proper football league, football teams were formed by visiting government schools and then they were given training to play football. Not only this, every child was allotted a football kit and daily refreshments were also given. The result was that the children of government schools became extremely enthusiastic and started participating in football tournaments with great enthusiasm.

Today competitions were organized for the football teams of Composite School Gandhi Nagar, Composite School Maduvan Bapudham, Composite School Lal Quarter, Composite School Dasna Gate, Ashram Gandhi Nagar, Composite School Pappu Colony, Composite School Bamheta, Composite School Wright Ganj schools in which 6 trophies were awarded: Winner Trophy, Runner Trophy, Top Goal Scorer Trophy, Best Defender Trophy, Best Goal Keeper Trophy and Best Mid Fielder Trophy. League manager and founder of the football teams of government schools of Ghaziabad, Shri Ishan Tyagi, a pass out of IIT Delhi, said that a special feature of today's competition was that each trophy was named after some martyr, such as martyr gunner Yashpal Narwat, martyr Naik Mohan Bisht, martyr Grenadier Rajiv Shishodiya, martyr ALD Veer Arjun, martyr Subedar Rajpal Singh, martyr Naik Ratna Singh and another special feature was that the trophy was given to each martyr by his family. The biggest feature was that in the Mahamaya Stadium, trees were planted in the name of 6 martyrs by the officers and the families of the martyrs.

On this occasion, Basic Education Officer Shri OP Yadav and Sports Officer Shri Abhishek Kumar honored the principals and teachers of the schools.
