For us, the martyred soldier is a deity – National Soldiers' Organization

November 5, 2025, Shaheed Smarak Park, opposite Manan Dham Temple, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad – On the occasion of Dev Diwali today, a delegation from the Ghaziabad unit of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha (National Soldiers' Organization) visited the Martyrs' Memorial and lit lamps. They saluted the Martyrs' Memorial, accorded the martyrs the status of deities, and pledged national integration.

Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, recipient of the Vir Chakra and National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, explained that according to a legend, the three sons of Tarakasura asked Lord Brahma for a boon that they would only die when all three were in a single line, under the Abhijit constellation, and struck by a single arrow. Then Lord Shiva, using the Earth as a chariot, the Sun and Moon as wheels, Mount Meru as a bow, Vasuki Naga as the bowstring, and Lord Vishnu as the arrow, killed all three with a single shot. The gods rejoiced and descended to Earth to bestow their blessings. Since we consider our martyrs as deities, we pray on Dev Diwali for the annihilation of our enemies.

On this occasion, veteran soldiers Gyan Singh, Chandan Singh, Ganesh Dutt, Rajendra Tripathi, Brahmpal Singh Tomar, and Vinay Kakkar said that the Shaheed Smarak Park is a powerful center for national integration and character building. Every school should bring its students here at least once a year, where we will impart knowledge about valor and courage. Every officer transferred to Ghaziabad should first visit the Martyrs' Memorial and salute the martyrs' column.

Our Chief Minister talks about ODOP (One District One Product). We believe that Ghaziabad should be developed into a tourist hub. It has the Dudheshwar Nath Temple, the Shaheed Smarak Park, and the City Forest.
