The Governor of Uttarakhand honored Colonel Tyagi from Ghaziabad.




November 28, 2025, Raj Bhavan Auditorium, Raj Bhavan, Dehradun Cantt, Uttarakhand – A special "Discussion" program was organized here today. ??Lieutenant General Chaturvedi, former Army Commander Lieutenant General A.K. Singh, Rishi Babbar (recipient of Kirti Chakra and Shaurya Chakra), renowned environmentalist Shri Kalyan Singh Rawat (Padma Shri), and Commander Deepak Khanduri shared their views on security, environment, and tourism. It was explained in detail that the pine trees are a legacy of the British era, and their presence is contributing to the tragedies occurring in Uttarakhand.

The chief guest of the program, the Governor of Uttarakhand, Honorable Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, said that Uttarakhand shares a long border with Tibet and also with Nepal. Therefore, the border villages of Uttarakhand are being connected with roads, communication systems, and modern facilities. These border villages are being made attractive to tourists at the local level. He said that there is a need to promote beekeeping, aroma production, and the cultivation of coarse grains as a campaign. He mentioned that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has already said that the third decade of the 21st century belongs to Uttarakhand. He said that every young, patriotic citizen and veteran sitting before him today is an ambassador of Uttarakhand.

On this occasion, he specially praised the dedication and honesty of Colonel Tejinder Pal Tyagi, the National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha (National Soldiers' Organization) and a recipient of the Vir Chakra. He stated that there is no other organization of patriotic citizens and ex-servicemen at the national level like this one. He also mentioned Colonel Tejinder Pal Tyagi's remarkable energy.
