January 11, 2026, Yogeshwar Devi Mahamandir Temple, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi - A program was organized here today on the eve of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary by the NCR unit of the National Soldiers' Organization and the Shri Yoga Abhyas Ashram Trust.
The chief guest of the program, Professor (Dr.) Pawan Sinha Guruji, founder of the Dharmik Anushthan Dhara Ashram, Dohai, Ghaziabad, said that only a healthy body can lead to spirituality. He said that Swami Vivekananda's nationalist character has not been discussed enough. He gave detailed information about Swami Vivekananda's health.
Shri Rajiv Khosla and Gaurav Senani Gyan Singh, members of the National Soldiers' Organization NCR, said that whatever education they received, the texts provided by it show (directly and indirectly) that even the poor pay taxes. There is a tax on salt too. Therefore, Vivekananda said that those who are visible are all the more responsible for helping the poor.
Shri Rajan Chhibber, Senior Advisor of the Skoda Group, said that times have changed. The people of India are no longer the less educated people of 1947. They have smartphones and watch television. They are aware of the conduct and speeches of their prominent leaders and actors. They have also developed the ability to analyze. Small countries are reaching the World Cup in football, and a country of 140 crore people is not even in the running. Who is responsible?
Colonel Tejinder Pal, recipient of the Vir Chakra and National President of the National Soldiers' Organization, suggested to Swami that we, the proud soldiers and patriotic citizens of the country, demand that football be promoted over cricket. In our country, cricket is given more importance than football. What is the alternative? Cricket is a Commonwealth game. Are we still a property of some union? If cricket is such a good game, why don't Russia and China play it? Cricket has become synonymous with corruption. There is not even this much brotherhood in the Deputy Regiment and the office; look at the cricket association here, there is even adultery here. As a soldier, my blood boils knowing that Pakistan is my only enemy, and I fight against them, while cricketers and film personalities embrace each other.
