March 22, 2026 – Headquarters, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, 133-B Model Town East, Ghaziabad: A meeting of the veterans (known as *Gaurav Senanis*) belonging to the Ghaziabad unit of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha was held here today. During the meeting, Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi—a recipient of the Vir Chakra and the National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha—stated that the organization's objectives extend beyond merely honoring the families of martyred soldiers and providing basic military training; they also encompass the eradication of social evils prevalent within society. Currently, the conflict between Iran and the United States has triggered a crisis regarding the supply of oil, and more specifically, cooking gas. People have resorted to hoarding gas cylinders, while gas agencies are engaging in black marketing. The government possesses neither the time nor the administrative personnel required to effectively curb every instance of black marketing and hoarding.
*Gaurav Senanis* Chandan Singh and Ganesh Dutt—District Secretaries of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha's Ghaziabad unit—affirmed that, starting today, they would remain vigilant in their respective localities, keeping their "eyes and ears open" to actively attempt to curb black marketing and hoarding at their own level, while simultaneously alerting the administration to such activities.
Lieutenant V.P. Sharma, Dhirendra Tripathi, Jile Singh, and all other members unanimously appealed to the public, emphasizing that there is no need to take to the streets over minor fluctuations—whether increases or decreases—in gas prices. The entire world is currently grappling with this very issue. It is worth recalling that during a time of wheat scarcity, the late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri had appealed to the nation to voluntarily forgo one meal a day; the entire country stood united in response, and the crisis was resolved within a matter of days. In that same spirit, the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha today appeals to its esteemed citizens to exercise patience and refrain from creating unnecessary, artificial crises.
